New Occasions Mini Catalog
The stamp sets get even better! A couple of the more different ones are She's All That, a set of four silhouette girls - one who is a bride, one who is pregnant, one having a birthday, and one walking a poodle carrying a hot drink. Then there is a greeting set called Sassy Suzie, with her witty and a bit off-the-wall sense of humor. There are so many more, you'll just have to see for yourself.
If you don't have a mini catalog, please let me know - these items are too fantastic to pass up!

A Card of Pretties

Stampin' Up!'s new Pretties Kit is so easy and fun to use, it amazed me. All of the flowers are made of a white fabric so that you can colorize them to coordinate with your project. You can use any method of coloring you want - Stampin' Write Markers, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, ink pads, Stampin' Pastels, etc. The results are truly fantastic.
Card Details:
- Stamp Sets: Warmest Regards, Brocade Basics
- Cardstock: Blush Blossom, Mellow Moss, Soft Sky
- Classic Inks: Mellow Moss, Soft Sky
- Accessories: Pretties Kit, Sherbet Ribbon Originals, Large Oval Punch, Stampin' Write Marker, Sponge
To color the large flower, I used the brush tip of a Stampin' Write marker in Blush Blossom. Just color the petals and set aside to dry - it doesn't take long at all. If you want a deeper shade, color again.
For the smaller flower, I sponged the color from the Soft Sky Classic ink pad onto the flower and let dry.
I fed the flowers through the hat pin and used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the half-back pearl to the center.
Stamptemberfest 2007
We had such a great day last year, Sherry and I decided that we just had to do Stamptemberfest again! Let me tell you - we have some terrific things planned for you and we hope you'll be able to make room for us in your calendar.

We have allotted additional time for each technique this year to make sure everyone gets a chance to finish their project.
- Make-n-Take cards/projects will be available if you want to keep busy while waiting for the next technique class. (There will be a per-card/project charge for each of the make-n-takes.)
- Lots and lots of Stampin' Up! and Tastfully Simple door prizes (must be present to win), and several opportunities to earn additional door prize tickets.
- A Grand Prize at the end of the day.

Doodles and Scallops

Here is another card using the stamp set Doodle This from the Spring Mini Catalog. I guess you can say that this is my current favorite set, as I am always using it! I'm sure when the new catalog comes out, I'll have a totally "new" favorite, but for now, I'm keeping this set in easy reach!
The card detail are as follows:
- Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Basic Black, Summer Sun
- Ink: Versmark, Stazon Jet Black
- Accessories: Watercolor Paper, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, AquaPainter, Corner Rounder, Vintage Brads, Bluebird Grosgrain Ribbon, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool
The black cardstock has been embossed with the swirl image using clear embossing powder (it doesn't show up that well here). The scallops on the bottom were made by using the corner rounder without the guide. The scalloped circle was made with the large scallop punch from Marvy.
